ORLANDO, FL – The Orange County Branch NAACP is continuing to present the vigorous Election 2022 community activities and public service voter educational events. These are conducted with the support of like area partners that include The League of Women Voters,The Orange County Voters League, The African American Council of Christian Clergy, The Central Florida Association of Black Journalist and Broadcasters, The West Orlando Christian Center; Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and many such others of longstanding community service and renown.
Following the successful primary elections events held recently, several timely and meaningful activities are upcoming for the the public and voters all welcomed to attend. These include visiting a variety of underserved and underrepresented county areas and providing these voters with up to date and important registration and voter information that will definitely affect their future.
Two activities are planned for Saturday, September 24, 2022. First, “Family Fun Day in the Park”, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Zander’s Park, 362 11th St., Winter Garden, Fl. 34787. There the Branch will conduct voter registration and provide available information and education on all concerned candidates and issues. Also, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church, 2210 South Rio Grande, Orlando, the Branch will also similarly have a tent for providing the very same registration and voter information.
On October 1, 2022, 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. the branch will again conduct voter registration and provide information and education during a barbecue event at Dorie Miller Memorial American Legion Post 331, 4325 Fairmont St., Orlando Florida. Moreover a thorough voter canvassing of the adjacent North Lake Mann Area neighborhood will be conducted.
Several other voter events, forums, etc. are being scheduled for your future notification and participation in all or as many activities as you can. Your personal participation is very welcomed, needed and appreciated throughout. And don’t forget that this is an extremely important general election and season. And we continue to urge you to be be sure, be aware, be registered and Vote!
