What is a special election?

A special election fills an office that became vacant between the general elections for that office.

In this case, a special election has been called to fill the vacancy for state senate, Senate District 15, and state representative, Florida House District 40.

Vote-by-Mail Note

After December 31, 2024, all vote-by-mail requests expired. If you would like to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for any elections now through the 2026 election cycle, you will have to submit a new vote-by-mail request.
