Orange County Chapter of the Florida Voters League and Orange County Branch NAACP Voting & Election Activities

The Orange County Chapter of the Florida Voters League and the Orange County Branch NAACP  (Civic Engagement) are geared up for everyone’s additional and full participation during this very important election cycle.  The following is a partial calendar of the many events and programs being presented by them and local organizations for our community citizens.

  • October 9, 2024:  Washington Shores Presbyterian Church 3600 Rogers Drive, Orlando, Voter Education Forum from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • October 10, 2024:  AFRO TV 7220 International Drive, Orlando, 6:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Includes the 4 Candidates for Supervisor of Election Orange County and debate between the two candidates for the Office of State Attorney 9th Judicial Circuit.
  • October 12, 2024:  Dorie Miller Memorial Post 331 of the American Legion Department of Florida, 4325 Fairmont Street, Orlando at noon with Chief of Police Stanley Murray of the Town of Eatonville as the Speaker and wreath laying on 105th birthday of WWII (Pearl Harbor) hero  Doris “Dorie” Miller. Included is that all Veterans will be recognized and encouraged to vote and ballot amendments will also be discussed.
  • October 13, 2024:  Justice Sunday at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 4077 Prince Hall Boulevard, Orlando at 10:15 a.m.  The program includes discussion of Constitutional Amendments, Charter Amendments, and Project 2025.
  • October 15, 2024:  Paul C. Perkins Bar Association sponsored Constitutional Amendments and Candidates Forums on Supervisor Of Elections and State Attorney debates from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church, 2210 South Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando.
  • October 17, 2024:  Apostolic Worship Center, 8001 Silver Star Road Town Hall Meeting: from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring discussion of Project 2025.
  • October 21, 2024:  Community Kickoff Rally at Lake Eola Park from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • October 27, 2024:  IMPACT SUNDAY: Area churches caravan to early voting sites following church services.
  • October 27,2024:  Retired Air Force Marine Army Navy (RAFMAN) Club’s 50th Anniversary at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 920 East Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL at 3:00 p.m.
