In November 2024, Orange County voters approved expanding commission districts from six to eight. To implement this, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) began a redistricting process and formed the 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee in January 2025.

The committee spent the past seven months gathering public input and presented its two recommended maps during the afternoon session of the BCC meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The BCC will hold a Public Hearing during the afternoon session on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 to adopt a final map.

Time: 2 p.m. (Redistricting will be the final item on the agenda)

• Public comments on redistricting will be heard after the presentation.
• Residents can participate by signing up for public comment prior to the Public Hearing.

The Redistricting Committee has finished their new maps – maps 1A and 7B, are moving forward to the Board of County Commissioners for final approval!
